I have made a battery cover (a flat sheet) out of .030 thick aluminum. Unfortunately, I can not tell you what kind of aluminum (i.e. 6061 etc). I want to powder coat it, but am concerned if putting it in the oven at 400 degrees is going to "warp" it. Any thoughts?

The most common aluminum sheet available off the shelf is 2024 and 6061. The 0.030" is a little light and if the edges are not rolled or formed 90 degrees you may get some distortion. If you fabricated a flat panel without bending or forming the edges and you are using Eastwood powder then cure the powder at 340F for 25 minutes after flow out. If the edges are formed cure at the standard 400F for 20 mins after flow out
