I have to paint the roof of my 1970 El Camino, there are no cut off points for the roof goes into the rear quarter panel, I plan to mask where the roof meets the side of the car. I know that there will be a line when I apply the new paint and crear coat. How is the best way to prevent the line or how do I blend the the clear coats. Is there a procedur or a and additive that could be added to the clear coat? I am using PPG paint and clear coat.
Your help will be appericated!!

Chuck,
Basically you will need to wet-sand that portion where the 2 colors meet & blend it all togerther w/ a couple of coats of clear. I would double check w/ your local PPG Rep but I would think that a 600-grit paper should leave enough surface abrasion for the clear to bite into. Good Luck & remember... PATIENCE is the key when it comes to paint & blending...
