i was watching the craftsmen truck race the other day i decided to get rid of the seam between the cab and bed was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what way would be best. i was thinking of cutting the front of the bed off and welding "patch" panels off a donor bed. or cutting the front of the bed and moving the bed foward the 3 inches. but that would require either making new holes for the mounting or moving the cross members on the bottem of the bed. any ideas would be helpful.

you would also have to seriously beef up the frame. Especially with all the flex on an S-10, however you patched it wouldn't last long.

i am going to beef up the frame heavily. i'm doing a full roll cage to hopefully give it the strength it needs. do you know if the f150 has more or less flex to it? i've thought about doing it to a different truck cause s10's are so common
