    The good part about the underlying coatings, is.... you don't HAVE to remove them to coat, but they do affect the finish somewhat,... especially on trans/candies... but you can actually get a good profile on them after the hard coating of chrome is gone, for solid tones.

    True. I probably average 3 or 4 trips a month to the chromer to de-chrome something, then I blast what's left and procede as normal.
