Thread: Newbie question - Rouge

  1. Newbie question - Rouge

Years ago I bought the Stainless Buffing Kit. I (finally) needed to use it and could not figure out how to get the rouge out!! The metal bottom doesn't push up.... the plastic cap was on all these years. I have never seen a paste-type, only the "stick-type" that melts onto the buffing wheel. So how do I get it onto the buffing wheel? Dig it out??? Help!

    JimSr,

Welcome to the forum. The plastic cap pulls off and then you can tear away the cardboard to apply the rouge to your spinning buffing wheel.

  3. Many THANKS, Nick! Sounds like making Pillsbury biscuits! With the plastic cap, I thought it was meant to reseal the container. Thanks again!

Exacly like biscuits I usually store my rouge in a ziplock bag when not in use.

The paper siding simply peals back. Hold it carefully to the spinning wheel, it melts on to the wheel, start polishing. Cheers. Michael.
