Interior and exterior firewall rust

Hi, my name is Steve, I own a 1991 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. I live in California in the coastal where salt is prevalent. I have severe rust problems along the firewall and firewall seams. I have uncovered some severe rust growth along on the passenger side of the firewall to the beginning of the floor pan. I imagine the drivers side is just as bad. I have pictures along with this post. What do you think the best solution is to solve this rust problem?

Hi Kevin, I re-evaluated my situation. It looks like I need to gut out the car and it is going to a major job. I watched your video on rust repair and you say I can use Oxyisolve to kill the rust. You also use Zero Rust to prevent rust from coming back. Can I use Zero Rust over Oxyisolve?

Yes! the oxysolve will neutralize and convert surface and exposed rust. Zerorust is a great product as well and will work over top after the correct prep. Look in your eastwood catalog for compatible products as well, it never hurts to shop arond and Eastwood alway has quality coatings. The rust in your car is severe... make sure you really inspect all the critical structural areas where suspension mounts and crossmembers meet... dont be afraid to walk away for safety's sake if it's too far gone.
