This is an older restoration that has since worn out, but it is one extreme example of before/after.

The polishing was done with Eastwoods products. The headlights weren't real bad before, but they are absolutely perfect now, with wetsanding (320, 600, 1000) and Eastwood plastic polish on a 4" loose buff.
The blower was polished with a 4" spiral sewn buff and Tripoli, then a 4" loose buff with white rouge.
The torque box reinforcement kit was welded in and painted black. I used Eastwood's weld-thru primer to be able to prime the parts before welding them in the car. Worked out great!

Here is what I do, I detail semi's for Kenworth of Indianapolis. My main area of interest is buffing aluminum, wheels, fuel tanks and battery boxes.
I am in need of a small buffer that is handheld and electric, 7 lbs or less, If anyone can help me I would be most greatful!![]()
If anyone has any hints or techniques please share![]()

What about that Cyclo polisher? It has 2 random orbit heads and pads that are I think 5". Eastwood probably sells them. The guy that polishes the aluminum airplanes said he uses them, and his stuff looked great.
This frame was blasted and painted with RE and Chassis Black
As you can see the rust is bleeding through.
Only way to do a frame right is to acid dip ?
Guess it's back to the drawing board on this resto...
