Thread: To sand or not?

    Default To sand or not?

Hey guys I just finished up priming my Toyota hj45 gauge cluster. First with the epoxy primer then with Contour primer. My question is should I give a go at trying to sand it to knock down the light orange peel? Or is it too small of a piece to worry about? The only concern is that I can't find blocks small enough and don't want to mess up any of this style lines. The ultimate goal is to make it look as clean as possible since it is something that you will see everyday driving the vehicle. Thanks for the input!

    Good Morning Flyinfreddie,

I would recommend trying to block out the flat sections to eliminate the orange peel prior to paint. Then take a red scuff pad the the more complicated areas to keep from changing the style lines. I hope this helps.
